Udacity
This semester we will be using an additional online resource that
enhances the information in the textbook.
Udacity is one of the MOOCs you may have heard about. They offer
online classes for free and have thousands of students. There is an
Introduction to Programming in Java designed by SJSU's on Dr Cay
Horstmann.
You will be assigned videos to watch as well as sections of the book
to read. The twice weekly quizzes will come from both sources.
Udacity has a way of presenting material that I think will help you
to learn. The lessons are broken up into small chucks of a couple a
minutes followed by an activity. If you watch the videos and do the
activities, it will greatly enhance your learning.
